One vintage Hoyt Pro Medalist recurve from the early 1970's. This is an interesting bow. I thought it was a rare black-limbed Pro Medalist Hunter at 66 instead of 62. This is a bow for the tall bowhunter with longer draw. This is a bow for the strong bowhunter, since 62# is tough to shoot a lot.
As mentioned, the riser is Rosewood -dark and rich with many laminations. There are 4 small holes. Hard to say whether the riser has been refinished. The limbs are painted well. Beautiful black face and back.
The tips are also good. There are Sims buttons on each limb. The factory rest has been removed. I have another I will include. It has cat whiskers and brush buttons.
There is a little feather for wind direction. Bonus lesson: Don't rely on these feathers, or spray dust, or similar things. In a week or two go out and grab 2-3 milkweed pods.
Open them so they dry. Put some in a little plastic bag or case. Release 3-5 every so often while on stand.
You will be amazed at how what seems like a steady wind changes directions 30 yards away then continues on that direction. So, a real bow, and not common.
