This 39# Pearson Sovereign Recurve Bow is a handsome piece of wood work and craftsmanship. It is also functionally sound with perfectly straight limbs (no limb twist) and no delamination of any kind. There are a few minor cosmetic flaws, however. There are two holes on thefront of the riser where a bow sight had been attached. There are also some dried glue marks around the shelf caused from the residue left behind from stick on arrow rests.
The very outermost sealant has been flaking off of the inside of one of the limb tips as can be seen by one of the photos. The thickness of this schafing is probably only 1 millimeter deep and does not impede the functionality of the bow. Additionally, I installed a front stabilizer bushing on the rise. The bushing is constructed of stainless steel, installed straight and true, and adds functionality to the bow. There is some dried, but clear glue overflow left from the installation process. Generally speaking, this bow is in remarkably sound structural integrity and still a beauty. The bow draws smoothly and casts an arrow straight and true.
This bow is meant to be shot, although it would also I make a nice collector's bow for the rack. Bow comes with a used bow string as well as a bottom limb rubber dampening device attached to the inside of the bottom limb that helps to quiet the limbs of the bow. AMO length for the bow is 66" and the marked poundage is 39# at a 28" draw.
