Collector's Pair of early Bear Archery Polar longbows
One pair of Bear Archery Polar longbows from the early years maybe 1953. These bows represent both sides of a transition time for Bear bows. Older bow has running bear decal and "Pat Applied For" decal. Newer bow (maybe 2nd half of 1953) has standing bear decal and "US Pat # and Canada 1953" decal.
Older 1953: RH, 49#, Serial # P7876. Surface cracking of grip leather and original arrow plate\ est. Threaded brass insert on off-side of grip - maybe for quiver.Rectangular wood with embedded compass - maybe aftermarket. Newer 1953: RH, 53#, Serial # P-12519.
Leather grip loss of top dyed leather surface (could be dyed and waxed later). Aftermarket arrow rest and plate. A nice pair and both shootable.
