Comes with two Dacron B-50 Flemish Spliced strings. The bow is sound with no evidence of misuse. The limbs are straight with no fiberglass crazing. There are some issues with the bow which I consider to be cosmetic. Hence, this bow would not be a candidate for a museum collection. Now, to examine those flaws. Photo #4 shows some gold colored paint loss on the limbs descriptive writing. #7 illustrates minor scratches to the left side of the lower latch. #8 shows a small scratch and a pit in the finish on the back of the handle. Photos #9 and #10 display the most egregious flaw. The Fullerplast epoxy finish on the belly of the bow handle above the sight window has been damaged in an area that measures. 147 thousands of an inch in diameter, or roughly the distance from the bridge of George's nose to the tip. The missing finish does not involve the underlying fiberglass facing. That said, the bow remains in good shape for one that I have shot almost daily for at least one year of the three years I've owned it. For the last two years, however, this bow has languished on the shelf as I have favored others in my collection. I've always wanted one of these bows, so, when I retired, I bought one for myself as a gift. I'm 5'6", regular build with small but "meaty hands (a carry-over from my earlier days as a block mason). Sadly, the handle is just too big for me. Unless I hold this bow in a very firm grip, my shots stray on the target. The handle is "squarish" on the back and when I grip the bow I cannot touch index finger to thumb. I don't have a similar problem with my Bear Takedown Magnesium handled riser. My palm measures 3 7/8" wide with a thumb to pinkie measurement of 8". Take a moment now and measure your own hand. If its not larger than mine, you may not be happy with this bow and you should stop reading right now. Photos are an integral part of the item description.
