The DAS DX5 take down recurve bow, I have nothing but good things to say about this bow. So technically this is a left handed bow if you're shooting regular split finger or 3 under, however I was shooting this bow with thumb release which means since my draw hand is my right hand the arrow goes on the right side of the bow for thumb release shooting which I prefer for various reasons, that technically means you can shoot this bow with multiple draw techniques with the right or left draw hand, and if you haven't ever checked out thumb release shooting on modern bows check out Joel Turner, he has some great videos about it. It's compact, with the full length with 17" limbs and a 15" riser coming out to 60in, not to mention the fact that it's a takedown bow and quickly breaks down into 3 pieces that packs up great in a backpack. Second, the DAS system (Is basically thumb screws which are the black knobs seen in the pics) makes it quick and easy to attach the limb to the riser as well as take them down plus you get rock solid retention and stability unlike some ILF bows. The shelf is radiused for shooting off the shelf plus you can use a plunger or elevated rest if you want to.

I have this bow in a very traditional setup right now for shooting off the shelf, the bow is quiet in general but especially now since I put on beaver balls, brush buttons, and calf hair string groove silencers. The bow has DAS bamboo core 35# limbs and a DAS lazer bowstring which provides a fast flight pattern for 400 to 500 gr arrows. The current accuracy of this bow is something I'm gonna miss when it's gone, it's a trad sniper bow for sure. I can only imagine how good it'd be if you really added some gear to it like a front stabilizer weight, elevated rest, maybe some top shelf limbs too.

Whatever you want to do, whether you upgrade this bow or keep it as is, there is no doubt that it is truly an awesome bow for 3d archery, bowhunting, and everything in-between. I'm including a Safari Tuff arrow master right handed side quiver, and three Gold Tip Hunter 400 gr arrows (three with broadheads) one Gold Tip Hunter 340 gr arrows along with another 340 Gold Tip Hunter and two Gold Tip Traditional 500 gr arrows that just need a knock and a point.
